Prior to the advent of digital cameras, photography, at least in our family, was pretty much limited to formal studio portrait sittings and special events. As such, we do not have a lot of pictures of day-to-day life or activities deemed routine. The pictures above are a few rare ones. The first three were taken in early spring. It looks like Grandpa John and Grandma Marjorie Dunton were taking the first opportunity to cultivate around fall planted garlic.
The last picture is a very cool one to me. It captures Grandpa saving seed from a 'Sweet Meat' squash. |
